SSC has reported approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for CHSL 2026.
The recruitment is for the following posts:

• Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)

• Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)

• Data Entry Operator (DEO)

• Data Entry Operator Grade 'A'

1. Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)

Pay Level-2: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200

2. Data Entry Operator (DEO)

Pay Level-4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100

Pay Level-5: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300

3. Data Entry Operator Grade 'A'

Pay Level-4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100

The exact pay level depends on the post/department to which the candidate is finally allotted.

The age limit for SSC CHSL 2026 is:
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 27 Years
The age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026.
Candidates should have been born between 02 August 1999 and 01 August 2008, subject to applicable age relaxation.
Age Relaxation

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹100/-

• SC / ST: No Fee

• Female Candidates: No Fee

• PwBD Candidates: No Fee

• Eligible Ex-Servicemen: No Fee

The ₹100 application fee can be paid through the online payment methods specified by SSC

• LDC/JSA: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.

• DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.

• Specific DEO Posts: For DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture and Staff Selection Commission, candidates must have passed 12th Science Stream with Mathematics as a subject.

• Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th examination can also apply, provided they obtain the required qualification by the prescribed cut-off date.
